Will I feel a draught?
No. Air enters at the top of the sash and is diffused upwards, so it warms up against the ceiling before reaching the rest of the room. You can also regulate the flow with the slider.
Does my window stay secure?
Yes. The window remains fully closed and locked. There's no compromise to security or insulation against intruders.
Will it reduce my heating efficiency?
The airflow is calibrated to provide enough fresh air to prevent condensation and stale air without significantly affecting room temperature. You can close the vent completely if needed.
Does it fit my window?
Air-Vent Comfort fits virtually all standard PVC tilt-and-turn windows. If your window has at least 35 cm of straight seal on the top of the sash, you're good to go.
Do I need to drill the window?
No. Installation requires only a Phillips screwdriver. There is no milling or drilling of the window frame itself - three small screws hold the vent in place on top of the sash.
Is it noisy?
No moving parts, no fan. It works passively and is silent. It also reduces external noise compared to opening a window for ventilation.
Does it help with mould?
Yes. Mould and condensation are caused by trapped humidity. Continuous low-flow ventilation removes moisture from the air, reducing the conditions in which mould grows.
What's in the box?
One Air-Vent Comfort 350mm vent, two perforated seals and three Phillips screws.
